The Scorpio 55′ is based on the reliable Scorpio 45′, which shares the same frame components, only adding an extra telescopic section to increase the target height by 3m (9’7’’).
The application of the latest technologies allowed us to extend the limits of the Scorpio 45′ while maintaining the highlights of Service Vision’s best-selling crane.
The Scorpio 55′ is the intermediate point between the Scorpio 78′ without the last section and the Scorpio 45′, offering a glimpse of the length of the Scorpio 78′ while maintaining the versatility of the Scorpio 45’. By reducing the load capacity to 40 kg (88 lbs.), another dimension has been available in length and stability, enhancing the key features of the Scorpio 45’.
In case it is necessary for production, it is possible to detach the last section and have a Scorpio 45′ with 60 kg (132 lbs.) with the small Scorpio Leveling Head provided with the crane or using any other Scorpio Leveling Head, including the Scorpio LH300.
Like the normal 45′ Scorpio, the 55′ Scorpio has the option to be motorized with the Scorpio Traction System to add even more mobility to the crane or to change the telescopic column for the new Scorpio hydraulic column.
Regarding compatibility, the Scorpio 55’ shares the same electronic box and dynamic counterweight system with all its bigger siblings, the Scorpio 45’, the Scorpio 38’, and the Scorpio 78’.
The good news is that the current Scorpio 45′ can be modified to become a Scorpio 55′ without affecting its performance.
